The New Headstone
George Washington Vest
I would like to take the time to THANK everyone who made this possible and the hard work
that went into this project. I want to thank Louise Calaway for the pictures and hard work.

The pictures was taken on Memorial Day. The placing of the stone will take place at the
end of June. I want to thank Frederica Wyatt for the Methodist Circuit Rider emblem.

Note from Louise: We have found a place where we can unwire the fence and go down into
the pasture with pickups. Then we will have to rewire it when we are through and come out
again. We have a pickup with a camper shell and can put a bench-seat in it along with some
lawn chairs and shuttle folks back and forth to the site. We have a step stool we can use for
getting you up into the pickup. Doug my brother has a pickup also. You can sit in the pickup
while we are placing the stones, if you need/want to. The pasture is very unlevel, but I think it
can be done. JW and I walked down to it and tied pink plastic ribbons on the way down, then
he walked back again and tied some more.
